Yasemin Shihab Ahmed

Yasemin completed her Bachelor of Law (LLB) with Honours at the University of Liverpool in 2020. During law school, Yasemin was an active member of the school community taking on roles such as,
President of the Residential Student Halls, Founding President of the Canadian Law Society and worked as a Residential Advisor at the University. During the summers of 2018, 2019 and 2021, Yasemin was a
Summer Student at a full-service law firm in downtown Calgary, where she gained extensive legal exposure and experience. In 2021, Yasemin completed her Master of Management (MMgmt) at the
Haskayne School of Business in the University of Calgary, during which, she acted as President of the Master of Management Society. Yasemin also completed the requirements for and received her NCA
Certificate of Qualification from the Federation of Law Societies of Canada in 2021. Yasemin articled at a full-service firm in Calgary and was called to the Alberta Bar in 2022.

Yasemin has gained experience in a variety of areas of law over the years having previously worked with full-service firms but has always had a strong passion for family law. She prides herself on her interpersonal and communication skills and is committed to delivering high-quality, personal service to clients. Yasemin has strong litigation experience and has appeared in both the Alberta Court of Justice
and the Court of Kings Bench in various venues such as, JDRs, EICCs, Chambers, Trials/Hearings, etc. She is a strong advocate for her clients and their interests and is dedicated to ensuring they achieve the best results as efficiently as possible. Yasemin offers her legal services in both English and Arabic.

Outside of work, Yasemin can most often be found at the gym or enjoying time with friends and family (and her cats). She also enjoys travelling and has visited 12 countries so far and counting.
