Gillianne completed her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in English at the University of British Columbia (Okanagan Campus) in 2018. Following that, in 2021 she completed her Juris Doctor at the University of Alberta. While in law school, Gillianne was involved with Student Legal Services, where she represented low-income Albertans with criminal law matters. She was also an active participant of the University of Alberta’s “famous” Law Show and a member of several other student committees and groups. In addition, Gillianne had the opportunity to represent the University of Alberta as part of the winning team of the 2021 Bennett Jones Health Law Moot. In recognition of her involvement during law school, she was awarded the Catherine Miller Community Service Award.
Previously, Gillianne spent a summer working at a family law firm in Edmonton. She is passionate not only about family law, but also helping people navigate the legal system and reach the best possible solution for their family. She hopes to assist clients achieve their goals in a practical and compassionate manner, while endeavouring to avoid unnecessary conflict in their lives.
Outside of work, Gillianne enjoys spending time with her puppy and family, playing board games, travelling, and trying all the new foods she can manage.
