Gillian was born and raised in Calgary, and was called to the Bar in Alberta in 2014. After articling and practising at a civil litigation firm, Gillian transitioned her practice to focus on family law. Gillian is dedicated to achieving the best possible solution for her clients, with practical recommendations and effective representation.
Prior to attending law school, Gillian completed her Bachelor of Arts (with Distinction) at McGill University in 2010. She obtained her J.D. from the Schulich School of Law (Dean’s List) at Dalhousie University, with academic awards for the highest standing in Bankruptcy and Insolvency and Administrative Law. While in law school, Gillian worked as a Research Assistant in the areas of Evidence, Contracts and Constitutional Law, and as a Peer Tutor for fellow law students. She also worked as a Summer Student with the Legal Services department of the Halifax Regional Municipality, and completed a placement with the Nova Scotia Labour Board.
Outside of work, Gillian volunteers with Calgary Legal Guidance, is an avid runner, and enjoys spending as much time in the mountains as possible.
